FUNDRAISING

Fundraising of any sort is hugely valuable to HopeFull’s ongoing operations
and future development.

We love to hear about, and support, those undertaking fundraising
activities. It’s a chance for communities to connect, big challenges to
be overcome, and people to enjoy themselves - all the same qualities
of our activities in Ukraine.
If you are interested in organising an event or completing a challenge for HopeFull please contact us and we will put our full support behind you.

Here are some of our recent favourites.

OCTOGENERIANS SKYDIVE

Our patron Magnus Linklater CBE (81), took to the skies with Iona O’Connor (88) and Caroline Crawford (86) for a skydive from 10,000 feet, raising over £4,000 for HopeFull.

WALKING TO WORK FOR UKRAINE

Joanne Cowie couldn’t go to volunteer herself so instead she set up a fundraiser and walked to work from her home in Durham to Stockton-on-Tees totalling about 36 miles.

CANDY SALE

Recent volunteer, Joan Root, went to talk at her grandson’s primary school on her return to the USA and the children decided to make HopeFull their candy sale charity of the year.

QUADRATHLON

In July 2023 the 100 competitors of The Great Kindrochit Quadrathlon raised over £20k for HopeFull. The ‘quad’ is a gruelling day out in Highland Perthshire including swimming across Loch Tay, walk/running seven hills, kayaking and cycling and the finale is cutting a watermelon in half with a sword!

WALK AROUND THE WORLD

Tom Fremantle, tomsworldwalk.com, walked from Vilnius in Lithuania to Lviv in Ukraine raising over £12,000.

THE NORTHWEST PASSAGE EXPEDITION

Leven Brown and his team are in the middle of a two-year challenge to row the Northwest Passage Expedition – an arctic route from Baffin Island, Canada, to Point Barrow, Alaska.

IMPROVISED OPERA

Impropera Scratch Opera Concert and auction organised by Fiona Leslie at Fingask Castle raised over £30,000.

CORPORATE SUPPORT

At HopeFull Future, we’re a small team driving powerful change in communities deeply affected by war. But our work wouldn’t be possible without the commitment of our exceptional corporate partners.

From strategic sponsorships to bespoke collaborations, we offer meaningful ways for companies to align with a cause that’s building resilience, recovery, and hope in Ukraine and beyond. The needs on the ground are constantly evolving—and so are the opportunities to make a difference.

We’d love to explore how your company can play a transformative role. Let’s create impact together.

SCHOOLS PROGRAMME

As important as our corporate sponsorships have been, so have fundraising activities and aid collections through schools across the UK. To date we have enjoyed wonderful partnerships with Sedbergh School, Mount St Mary’s College, Eton College, Great Ballard School, and Eastboune College. We do this not only to aid our fundraising but to foster a culture of service and giving amongst pupils.

As part of their fundraising activities, school communities often collect donations of aid. We deliver this mainly by partnering with other charities who are better placed to distribute within Ukraine.

Needs are always changing, and we would be delighted to help you set up activities to aid the campaign.
